Happy New Year! We're excited to announce a new opportunity for previously trained SEED leaders. ReSEED: Revisit, Renew, Recharge will be a three-day gathering that will serve as an opportunity for SEED leaders to recharge at a time when our work in educational equity is as urgently needed as ever.

The Bay Area Regional SEED Network invites all educators, parents, and community leaders, as well as existing SEED leaders, to a SEED Showcase Day offering a sampling of workshops on race, gender, ability, diversity, and inclusive families.

"Dismantling Fronteras through Multicultural Education" was the theme of the recent 24th annual NAME (National Association for Multicultural Education) conference held in Tucson, Arizona. The gathering brought together over 300 educators from elementary schools, high schools and universities who are committed to educating for empowerment and social justice. SEED presented a session on "Curriculum as Window and Mirror," a concept first developed by Co-director Emily Style to show how students need to see their own stories, as well as those of others, throughout their education.
