san anselmo hills2Today, we welcome 50 participants to the first session of the 32nd year of SEED New Leaders Week. They will spend their time immersed in a variety of SEED materials and methods in preparation for leading their own SEED seminars -- a group of individuals who meet regularly to learn about themselves, interact with each other across identities, and develop strategies for greater equity and diversity in their local settings.

The staff of New Leaders Week is looking forward to meeting this year's participants and continuing the SEED journey together. As much as we've prepared, we can't wait for our new participants to bring the other half of the curriculum--their own stories--into the work of the week (a description we take from Founding Co-director Emily's Style's observation that "Half the curriculum walks in the room with the students, in the textbooks of their lives").
