Apply Now: 2016 SEED New Leaders' Weeks

30 yearsApplications are now open for the 2016 SEED New Leaders' Weeks and the 2016-17 SEED Project Year — the 30th year of SEED! We are excited to be offering three New Leaders' Weeks in three different locations.

SEED creates conversational communities that drive personal, organizational, and societal change toward greater equity and diversity. We do this by training individuals to facilitate ongoing seminars within their own institutions and communities. SEED leaders design their seminars to include personal reflection and testimony, listening to others' voices, and learning experientially and collectively. Through this methodology, SEED equips us to connect our lives to one another and to society at large by acknowledging systems of oppression, power, and privilege.

The 2016 New Leaders' Weeks and locations are:

  • June 23-29: San Anselmo, CA
  • July 7-13: Seattle, WA
  • July 28-Aug 3: Racine, WI

If you are accepted into SEED, you are expected to attend one of these similarly structured weeks, which prepare you to design, coordinate, and facilitate a monthly SEED seminar in your school, district, or organization with 15-25 of your colleagues during at least one school year.

Find out more and apply here. We look forward to reading your applications!
